Choice
You have a Choice about most things: Your attitude, frame of mind, how you read the situation, what resources to use, how you want to respond, how you feel, how you want to feel. What to move away from and towards. What do you choose to believe? Do you recognise your choices? Having a choice is better than having no choice
Outcome
Being able to think about outcomes provides focus for you and others. What do you want? How clear and specific is that? How will you know when you have it? Why is this important to you? What do you want for the other person? What are you aiming for? Is what you are doing today moving you in the right direction? If you don’t know what your outcome is you risk being used by someone who does.
Associate
Are you living your life or someone else’s? Get involved. Give it 100%. Take responsibility for what you want and recognise your responsibility. Don’t wait for others. Be proactive. This life is about you. Be fully present doing what you’re doing right now. (Switch off your phone!). Get into this moment and nothing else. Remove distractions (for now). Enjoy the moment. Focus. Wax on, wax off!
Smile
A smile locks in a positive attitude and usually gets one back. Enjoy. Play and play more. Do what you do with a twinkle in your eye. Tease (playfully) anyone who says you can’t work and have fun at the same time. How can you make this fun for you and everyone involved?
Turning Point
How can I use this opportunity to switch others on? Am I aware of how I influence? How can I make a positive impact? Do I brighten the room when I walk in (as opposed to walk out)? Engage with everyone you meet. Listen to their story. Be curious. Make someone’s day every day. Be proud of your impact
